NYFW Diary: Day Two

After getting settled in the city, I was back on the go. NYC is seriously the city that never sleeps.

Good morning! Looked outside and the snow was still heavy so decided to pack on the layers and wear a black sweater with shoulder cut-outs, jeans, booties, a fur coat, and scarf.

As I arrived at my first show at Skylight Clarkson Square, I could feel goosebumps on my skin. Not just because I was cold (well maybe that too), but because I was so nervous/happy/excited for the Dan Liu FW 2017 Show. After being seated and waiting a few minutes, the lights dimmed and a beautiful dancer dressed in a black suit decorated with autumn leaves came out. The theme of the collection was “Fairy Tale of Autumn” and the opener was a great way to catch the audiences attention. Liu’s collection had graced with floral scarfs, monochromatic color blocks, and structured blazers. The show ended with Dan Liu himself coming out and singing a song. What a way to close a show!

Ran back to my friend’s apartment to grab my stuff so I could catch a train at Grand Central to Connecticut. Fun Fact: I went on the downtown subway when I was supposed to go on the uptown subway and got completely lost for about an hour 🙂 I’m new to this whole subway city thing lol..

Boarded my train and dozed off until I got to New Haven, CT. I’m originally from Connecticut but moved to Florida when I was younger. All my relatives still live in CT so I decided to take a day out of my trip to see them. I really do miss living up north and being surrounded by my family.
